What is the Literature Distribution Centre (LDC)?
Al-Anon's Conference Approved Literature (CAL) is one of the most powerful tools of recovery within the program as it provides members with access to the experience, strength and hope of the fellowship regardless of where they might be or the time of the day. CAL comes in a diversity of formats: books, pamphlets, booklets, kits, posters, films, guidelines and other Al-Anon material. These materials are usually produced and printed in the US by the World Service Office (WSO) of Al-Anon. So a link is needed for English-speaking members in the Benelux to have easy access to CAL without having to navigate customs themselves.
The Literature Distribution Center (LDC) is such a link. It provides members in the Benelux with local access and delivery of Al-Anon literature. A trusted servant, acting as Coordinator for the LDC, buys CAL from the WSO in large amounts, and responds to orders from groups, individual members and anyone within the LDC area. Though the LDC aims to keep a good stock of literature, some books may not be available at times. Please bear in mind that the LDC is run by volunteer(s) so, in the spirit of the fellowship, treat them kindly and respectfully.

Al-Anon members are encouraged to order books via their home group's Literature Coordinator. Then, the Group's Literature Coordinator can place a group order with the LDC. Individual orders, coming directly from members, will be accommodated wherever possible.
Please note that the current LDC prices are given on the Literature Order Form. These prices reflect the additional cost of shipping the materials from the US.

Decide which books you would like. You can consult the CAL Catalogue.
Download and fill in the Literature Order Form using the button below. The file will go directly to your Downloads folder. The current prices are indicated on the form. If a book is not in stock at LDC, it can be ordered from the WSO though this may take several weeks. Please keep in contact with the LDC volunteer.
Send the filled form directly to the email: literature.alanonnetherlands@gmail.com Once the order is ready for shipping, the LDC volunteer will inform you of the postage / shipping costs, and will provide you with an invoice and the LDC bank account details for payment. Please note that we do not accept credit cards.

Members can also buy literature while attending conventions in the area where the LDC has been invited to participate. For this to happen, we suggest convention committees to contact the LDC timely to ensure our participation.

Send the filled letter directly to the email: literature.alanonnetherlands@gmail.com. Upon receipt of an official email of invitation from a convention committee, the LDC can provide literature for sale at the convention.
